EXPLAIN SECTIONALISM: Places split up in sections and they have their own set of beliefs with life and different ways to make money.
WHY DID NEW STATES CAUSE REGIONAL DIVISION: Because the new southern states were being added to the union expanding slavery to the new lands which based their economic system on Cash Crops. The Northern states worried about the growing power the new states that had enslaved people.
GEOGRAPHICAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE NORTH AND SOUTH: The north had rocky soil and a cold climate. The south had fertile soil and a long growing season.
