Brave:
Towards the start of the play in act 1, Duncan rewards Macbeth for his bravery n battle. At the end, he knows he's doomed by he refuses to give up and he "will not yeild"
Brutal:
Macbeth becomes a "tyrant" who kills anyone who got in his way. this is shown when he has Macduff's whole family killed because of the witches prophecies which said that Macduff's children will become king, Macbeth felt threatened by this and decides to get rid of the threat altogether.
Easily influenced:
he lets Lady Macbeth talk him into committing treason and killing Duncan even though he was loyal towards him at the start of the play. he even regrets killing Duncan after he was committed the crime

Guilt-stricken:
after killing Duncan he feels remorse and he feels guilty for his actions against someone who he saw as a friend. he has moments of despair after killing Duncan and Banquo.
Blood = guilt
he attempts to wash away the blood that was covering his hands as he believed that if he got rid of the evidence he could pretend that it never happened and then become guilt free.
Lady Macbeth

she plays on Macbeth's weaknesses. E.G. calling him a "coward", to convince him to kill Duncan
