Reflection 1 – Attachment and Relationships
Learning about attachment made me realize how early relationships influence behavior later in life. The way caregivers respond to a child can shape how that person approaches trust and emotional closeness. I noticed that people show different attachment styles in relationships, such as being more open or more distant. This helped me understand that these patterns are influenced by past experiences rather than being random. It also made me more aware of how relationships shape emotional development.
Reflection 2 – Emotions and Control
The videos on emotional triggers and emotional intelligence made me realize how much emotions influence behavior. I used to think emotions were automatic and uncontrollable, but now I understand that recognizing triggers can help manage reactions. For example, being aware of what causes stress or anger can help prevent overreacting. This showed me that emotions can be controlled and improved over time. It made me more aware of how I respond to situations.
Reflection 3 – Resilience and Growth
Learning about resilience and trauma changed how I think about difficult experiences. Instead of seeing challenges as only negative, I now understand that they can lead to growth and emotional strength. People who go through hardship can develop better coping strategies and become more resilient. This made me realize that emotional struggles are part of development rather than just obstacles. It changed how I view adversity and personal growth.
