- - - - Adrenal Cortex: Three layers of gradular tissue synthesize and secrete several different hormones
      - Adrenal Medulla:Nervouse tissue that is part of sympathetic nervous system
  - - - Oxytoxin and ADH are hormones and they are composed of nine amino acids. Almost identical but differ in two amino acids.
    - - All six hormones are peptide hormones. All but two regulate secretion of other hormones. There is the growt hormone, Throid stimulating, Andrenocoritropic, follicle-stimulating, luterizing, and porlactin.
- - - - This hormone is for the regulation of carcadian rhythms of body; released at night
  - - - Antidivertic (ADH)
        
        Causes kidneys to conserve water; in high concentartion constricts blood vessels
      - Oxytoxin (OT)
        
        Contracts smooth muscle in the uterine wall; contracts myoepitheliak cells associated with mile secreting gland
    - - Growth (GH)
        
        Stimulates an increase in the size and division rate of body cells: enhances movemnet of amino acids across membranes
      - Prolactin (PRL)
        
        Sustains milk production after birth
      - Thyroid-Stimulating (TSH)
        
        Controls secretion of hormone from thyroid gland
      - Adrenocorticotropic (ACTH)
        
        conrols secretion of certain hormones from adrenal cortex
      - Follicle-stimulating (FSH)
        
        For females it is responsible for the development of egg-containing follicles in ovaries and stimulates follicular cells to secrete estrogen. In males it stimulates production of sperm cells
      - Luterizing (LH)
        
        Promotes secretion of sex hormone; plays a role in relasing an egg cell in females
  - - - It increases blood calcium ion concentration/ decrease phosphate ion concentrate.
  - - - Synthesis of glucose from proteins and fat; slows defense cells; controls inflammation and allergy
    - - Maintains salt-water level in acting in kidneys: Maintaining blood pressure
  - - - Acts along with the sympathetic nervous system during emergency. Can resist/ withdraw ourselves from situattions
    - - Acts along with epinephrine
  - - - Stimulates egg growth and triggers ovulation
  - - - Stimulates spermatogenesis
  - - - Promotoes developmet of female and help regulate menstral cycle
    - - prepares endmetrium and maintains pregnacncy

  - - - Increase rate of energy release from carbohydrates; increases rate of protein synthesis; accerlates growth; necessary for normal nervous system maturation

    - - Lowers blood calcium and pohsophate ion. Concentrations by stimulating deposition of calcium and phosphate ions into bones and increasing excertion of these ions by kidneys
