What the sky looks like at night
Night sky can be represented through a model ((Naudé & Meier, 2025:118)
Design or create a night sky mobile with the learners.
Changing from day and night
People use clocks, light and calendars to manage day and night changes
Learners will sort picture cards of day and night tool
Natural Science
The Moon
In a month the moon goes through changes (Nasa, n.d)
Learners will observe the moon every night and draw moon phases (DBE, 2011:62)
Stars and the Sun
The sun is a star, and stars give off light (DBE, 2011)
Learners will compare stars and the sun and create stars using stickers
Social Science
What the sky looks like at night
Learners will draw a night sky and share what they see.
Star Constellation- creating patterns with stars and connecting them to people's daily lives (DBE, 2011)
The Moon
Each culture has different beliefs on the moon and stories are passed down generations
Learners will listen to a moon story and sequence moon observation over time.
