Causes of the American Revolution
13 British colonies
It can be inferred that since Americans who came to Jamestown sought religious freedom and riches, where they came for it was restricted and did not have the best conditions. Which is why it led to a rise in population, it was opportunity for desperate civilians.
The French and Indian war
This demonstrates that the colonists were fought over by the French for land. Which strained Britain and the colonists relationship since Britain imposed taxes onto the residents which led to the revolution and more.
Proclamation of 1763
This shows that by limiting land for the colonists, Britain created a strict control over space. The Colonists were not allowed to cross the Appalachien mountains, which restricted Colonists from travelling and exploring.
The stamp act
It can be inferred that the colonists gained a lack of freedom by this act. The act taxed colonists from newspaper, legal documents etc. Maybe they gained money, but limited knowledge and awareness.
Townshend duties
This reveals that the intensity of tension between Britain and the colonists increased by the amount of taxes given. This act taxed paint, tea and lead. normal things people use throughout the day, which spreads their control over the land.
Boston Massacre
This events led to violence and an offical rivalry between Britain and the colonists. It became a symbol for opression and silence.
Boston Tea Party
It is illustrated that the boston tea party was a bold and violent act of defience agaisnt taxes and Britain.This also turned a small issue into a huge crisis, which required colonists to unify.
The Intorable acts
It can be inferred that Colonists viewed this act as a direct attack towards their rights, and it led to the formation of Boston becoming the center for resistance
Common Sense
It is shown that the document Common sense fuled colonist's ideas of independance to come true, and not to stay in drafts. It encouraged other people to read and comment on his work, influencing his ideas everywhere.
The declaration of Independence
It is shown that the declaration of independence was the last straw for the colonists, and was influenced by their desire for freedom, and personal rights.
