The Black Death
-
The plague is an infectious disease that strikes men and animals and is transmitted from one person to another or, more frequently, caught from the fleas found on mice and other rodents.
-
THIS IS THE EFFECT OF THE BUBONIC PLAGUE(Black Death)
This is a flea.

This bacterium is called after Alexandre Yersin. Wikipedia says the following: Alexandre Yersin (1863 - 1943) was a Swiss physician and bacteriologist. Along with Kitasato Shibasaburo, he is remembered as the discoverer of the bacilli responsible for the bubonic plague, which was renamed in his honor (Yersinia pestis).

-
The most characteristic were buboes (bubas), from where the name bubonic plague is derived.
-
They were very painful swellings (inflamaciones) in the armpits /axilas, in the groins / ingles, and in the neck (lymphatic areas).

Another curious fact is that at that time, people thought that witches had cats, and that cats were cursed animals (maldito). Then, people killed the cats, and rats proliferated, and there were more infected people.
- We do not know why the plague disappeared, but after a few years people stopped dying. The disease did not make distinctions among its victims: it killed peasants, but also kings and princesses.
- Throughout history, there have been many epidemics of plague, but none as lethal as the 14th century’s. No war in history has killed as many people as the Black Death.
- During the 17th century, doctors put on masks to protect themselves from the sick, although we now know that these masks and clothes were completely useless.
