Hypocrties
-
You thought that the Prophet Muhammd (sws) was going to get killed and you were happy for that. You stayed back in hopes of getting good news so you can take over.
They hypocrites want to go when they are promised spoils. When there is difficulty and sacrifice then they won’t go.
What you did is wrong, but Allah (swt) will give you a second chance, where you have to fight a scary enemy. If you repent then you are good, but if you don’t then it is a repeated behavior.
The approved oath:
-
That is the moment where the victory is locked in due to the fact of their faith to take the oath under the tree.
You have to be the first and take the risk. There are more important things than spoils. The biggest thing is that Allah (swt) gave you victory and support.
-
Allah (swt) recalls all the wrongdoing of the Qurashy (preventing people). If it weren't for that there were believers that are hiding the faith then the good and bad has not been separated. Allah (swt) would not punish Makkah in that state.
-
The Prophets Support
The believers are fierce toward the kufar, and merciful towards one another.

Surrender of Makkah:
The conquest of Makkah
The Prophet (sws) was given a dream that he was supposed to make umrah, but they were in the middle of a war. So he submitted to Allah (swt) and gathered 14 to 15 hundred men to make umrah
Once they get to Makkah the Qurashy stop them. They are panicked because they have two options (let the muslims do umrah which will attract people).
If they killed them then it would be the end of their reign, and the arab would not tolerate it. Instead they negotiated with The Treaty of Huddabiyah
With people who were changing sides (if a muslim wanted to change sides) he could be allowed to go with the Qurashy, but the opposite wasn't allowed.
It gave the muslims other connections like Egypt and Abbasinya, and it allowed the muslims to become wealthier, which led to the conquest of the muslims to conquer Makkah.
Eventually the Qurashy broke the treaty, so the Prophet Muhammad (sws) and his small army conquered Makkah.
Instead of destroying Makkah, Allah (swt) allowed this to play out to show His glory and so we can have these stories.
