I think college athletes should be paid because they make a lot of money for their schools but don’t get paid fairly for their hard work. They also take physical risks.

Naysayer/Rebuttal-
Naysayer- Scholarships already pay athletes enough. Some are worth 10k + each year that help cover tuition, housing, and meals. It is about education and not money, and getting a free education is enough.
Rebuttal- Scholarships are not equal to the money athletes generate. They are valuable but are often a lot less that the money top athletes bring in. Athletes can generate up to millions of dollars for their schools. Many still struggle with everyday expenses and cannot work jobs because of their schedules. Scholarships alone are not fair compensation.
