DOGME 95
The Vow of Chasity
- Shooting must be done on location. Props and sets must not be brought in
- The sound must never be produced apart from the images or vice versa
- The camera must be hand-held. Any movement or immobility attainable in the hand is permitted
- The film myst be in color. Special lighting is not acceptable. Optical work and filters are forbidden
- The film must contain superficial action
- The film must not contain superficial action
- Temporal and geographical alienation are forbidden
- Genre movies are not acceptable
- The film format must be Academy 35mm (4:3 aspect ratio)
- The director must not be credited
Realism
These styles of filmmaking heavily rely on realism. Found Footage binds itself to reality. DOGME films presenting the world as it is naturally. The Poor Image presents reality in the Digital age.

Movement of Cinema that exemplifies an abstruction of space and time within a film, as well as presenting the 'truth'

Aesthetic is the philosophical idea of beauty, or rather the the meaning we give it.
Convergence
Digital technologies and media is the convergance of previous technologies and media. We used to have a separate object to call people, take pictures, and record film, but thanks to digital technologies that has all converged into one object.
CGI
Computer Graphic Images: Digitally created images that are added on film. Though the entire process varies throughout time, digital technology is always needed.

A style of filmmaking where the entire story is presented as real footage that was later recovered.
