Mato - Hx hypertension, and chronic back pain. Currently taking verapamil. Pain has been worsening recently and received oxycodone from a specialist that he is taking as prescribed. Has not had a BM in 5 days.

Objective
Abdominal Assessment (inspect for distention, auscultate, palpate for stool burden)

Complete a rectal exam to determine stool burden at rectum, occult blood, and rectal tone

Assess hypertension and associated risk of straining on vasculature (i.e is hypertension well controlled?)
