Brittany crisis
Anne of Brittany was left as regent of Brittany, an unmarried woman with no heirs. This left Brittany extremely vulnerable as France sought to exploit this and take Brittany for itself.
Henry signed, with Anne of Brittany, the Treaty of Redon 1489, which saw them both agree that English forces would invade France in support of Brittany.
Henry didn't send a full-scale army because he was worried about upsetting France, he sent a subsided army of 500 (led by Lord Scaled), then limited unofficial aid and issued an apology to France afterwards.
Anne of Brittany then relented in 1491 and married Charles VIII of France, absorbing Brittany into France
Henry felt he had an obligation to help Brittany defend themselves because she had sheltered him as an exile

Philip and his wife, became shipwrecked and had to take refuge in England
This was very convenient for Henry as it allowed him to pressure Philip to stop sheltering rebels. Philip promised to hand back Edmund de la Pole (duke of Suffolk) at Calais.

Aragon / Castille
Henry wanted to ensure England enjoyed a strong alliance with Aragon and Castille, both were VERY powerful kingdoms, beginning the Spanish Inquisition / Reconquer and laying the foundations for modern Spain.
Henry managed, in the Treaty of Medina del Campo, to ensure that Prince Arthur was to be married to Catherine of Aragon, the daughter of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castille
After Arthur died in 1507, Henry tried to forge another marriage alliance between Prince Henry and Catherine, though Isabella of Castille and Ferdinand were wary about this because it required papal dispension
The anti-French alliance also started to become self destructive and Castille was absorbed in the Hapsburg empire when Joanna and Archduke Philip married
Also in the treaty, both agreed to go to war against France to recover Normandy and Aquitane for England. This was CEMENTED by the bethrothal!
