EROSION
Hard rock - chalk - erodes slowly
Soft rock - clay - erodes quickly

Soft rock erodes faster than hard rock

CLIFF FORMATION
Waves attack the base of the cliff
A wave-cut notch is forms between low tide and high tide
Cliff then becomes undercut
The cliff collapses
A Wave-cut platform is left behind as the cliff retreats

A cave forms
The cave deepens and breaks through to form an arch
Arch roof collapses to form a stack
Stack erodes overtime and forms a stump
Beach
Forms when sediment build up
Common in sheltered areas like bays
Waves deposit pebbles and sand
Constructive waves build beaches (strong swash, weak backwash)
