Interests & Themes to base my idea around - Coggle Diagram

- - - - I would plan this out using YouTube documents I have, knowing when to place high and low moments to build a story out of it, that feels impactful and like a true journey.
    - - I could expand this as I love this idea, I already know chess a good amount, so it wouldn't be the same enjoyability from the beginning compared to a total unacknowledged
        
        But getting back to my other point, draws a huge flaw in this specific idea. Gaining footage would be difficult as if I wanted to get a montage of playing chess online, it would require me to record the other person playing constantly, and I don't know if it would be worth it as I have the exact vision for this project. I know how to make content and you would need to dramatise certain moments, exaggerate for the camera to make it more interesting.
  - - - This would end up being a pretty advanced dive into chess, but focusing on the resurgence within 2026 and in recent years. Having recognisable faces like Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru who also step into content creators, also the huge YouTube titans like GothamChess and the Botez Twins, who get recognisability for the game by appearing on other mainstream channels.
- - - - I would go through a lot of details about modern day like a YouTube blend, so instead of diving into the history I will keep it modern day.
- - - - A flaw of this project and the main reason I wouldn't want to pursue it, is I am scared of the outcome. I feel like with my chess idea it was obvious where the story will go, and I know where it will lead roughly. With skating, I am unsure if I could exactly reach the heights and progress I was hoping to achieve. So the outcome being unpredictable makes it scary, as if my climax of the narrative is weak, then the project as a whole falls flat and I might not reach a distinction grade on my project. Truthfully, I am not sure if it is a risk I want to take even if I believe in my ability to make something great.
  - - - This is where I made a skating title sequence, this included music and a montage which is what I made here.
        
        This would be longer than previously.
        
        The flaw is this becoming too similar to my title sequence, honestly underwhelming for an FMP.
- - - - It would feature me showing off the experience, having set goals that I have to complete, and vox pops to explore the culture of the fans.
    - - I would investigate sound tests, interviews to gather reasons from the fans, and overall it would feel very complete
  - - - This would focus more clips and motion graphics, acting as a video essay
      - It would take inspirations and feature some clips from In Whose Name (2024 Documentary), I would also order it from the beginning days of his music career and maybe backstory, up to present day.
  - - - I would start from jazz's creation and the prime of it's relevancy, mention the decline, following along with Laufey's beginnings and what she did to revive the genre, with music blending projects like Bewitched that feature a strong jazz undertone.
  - - - Explains all his albums, the genius of his trilogies and the stories behind them, hidden narratives within. People think he makes pop music but merges them for commercial growth, but keeps the quality alive.
- - - - This is a collaborative EP that my friends have made with a specific storyline about an addicted kid searching for salvation, but gets tricked by this helpline that sends him down a spiral of negativity.
      - The paperwork has already been laid out for me and I could make a whole short film with their vision. It would be an awesome project honestly, but I feel the main issue is them not being local to Guildford, so I wouldn't be able to film with them. I could either tell the story through b-roll shots or get replacement characters to act as 4lan and 'Elijah' within the musical short film.
- - - - Interviewing those my age about that year, what made it so iconic?
      - A traditional documentary, talking about the whole year through voice-overs, occasionally breaking up with interview clips.
- - - - A flaw is that we can't get equipment wet.
- - - - I would like to implement some sort of twist, but I would probably think of more ideas if I go past this point of idea development.
