Bivariate Data
Variables
Response variable
often called a dependent variable, outcome, or left-hand-side variable, is the specific variable measured or observed in a study to evaluate the effects of changes in explanatory (independent) variables.
-
Explanatory variable
(independent variable) is plotted on the horizontal x-axis of a graph to show its effect on the response variable (dependent variable) on the y-axis.
-
-
Data
Multivariate data
refers to datasets containing three or more variables (features) for each observation or sample point.
-
Bivariate Data
collecting data for exactly two variables for each observation, allowing statisticians to study the relationship or correlation between them, unlike univariate data (one variable).
