- - - - The effect of this separation then extends to the readers of the poem, ensnaring them in that same world where they can explore the parts of life that humans do not often express, such as emotions and otherworldly sensations, or truths about their life they never considered like the importance of things other than material goods.
  - - - With this newfound knowledge and understanding of one's own heart and soul, it gives humans a better idea on how to lead their lives the most productively and happily. Not only does it affect how one approaches one's own life, it also influences interactions with others, guiding the ways humans build connections and determining the types of people they build relationships with.
  - - - This understanding can bring joy and enlightenment to both the writer and the reader as they discover more about their identities and their emotions.
        
        This joy is almost child-like, similar to a child watching a cartoon or movie for the first time and discovering the world of stories and make believe. Poetry brings the reader's life into perspective, allowing them to step back and take pride in all they have accomplished and the wisdom they have accumulated throughout the years.
