Boycott
Quraysh are furious that the Muslims now have a safe haven in Abyssinia, so they create sanctions on Banu Hashim and Banu Abdul Muttalib.
No one will marry into them, nor marry them.

Abu Talib rallies Banu Hashim to support the Prophet, and they all move to a valley outside of Makkah
They suffered from Malnutrition, as Quraysh cut off al food sources, as well as there being assassination threats, so Abu Talib had to take some measures.
-
A movement led by Hisham ibn Amr and some other leaders who are sympathetic to the Muslims plan to intervene during a Qurashi meeting by filibustering.
At the same time, Allah(swt) sends termites to eat the entirety of the mandate except for the name of Allah.
The Prophet informs Abu Talib, and he goes to the Quraysh and tells them that the mandate has been eaten, and if he is telling the truth they end this oppression, and if this is not true then he will hand over the Prophet.
When they saw that this was true, they tried to claim it is sorcery, but at that point Hisham's group intervened and the mandate was ended.
Some sympathizers snuck in resources, but people like Abu Jahl would stop them.
Probably lasted from the end of the 6th year, through the 7th, and ended early in the 8th year.
Death of Abu Talib
Abu Talib had been a staunch supporter of the Prophet, and the one who had been protecting him all this time.
When he was on his death bed, the Prophet tries to convert him, but just as he's about to convert, the kuffar that were around him convinced him to die on the religion of Abdul Muttalib.
Prophet kept asking for forgiveness for him, until Allah(swt) prohibited him from doing so, as he had died a kafir.
His loyalty to the Prophet gave him the lightest punishment in the Akhira,.
After his death, the Prophet had no protection as Abu Lahab became chief and kicked him from the tribe.
The Quraysh now could do what they wanted to him, such as rile up the riff raff to persecute him, or even throwing the intestines of a camel on him, one of the most vile acts done to him during the Seerah.
The Prophet makes against all of the people who did this to him, and they all died in Badr.
Death of Khadijah
Shortly after the death of Abu Talib, Khadijah died as well.
