Concept to make the current timeline is to manufacture current design until someone or some new information tells you to stop and back track. THAT DOES NOT MEAN PUSH A BAD DESIGN THROUGH.
The idea behind it is we are pushing to make a deadline and instead of trying to predict problems we don't know to prevent any work which may not be necessary, we manufacture more than we need, get the extra experience we need manufacturing while still optimizing to make sure we hit the deadline SAFELY

If you keep trying to get as many opinions as possible and as much knowledge as you can trying to nail your design on the first try as opposed to making iterations and learning from said iterations while still getting outside opinions, you'll never get to the end.
