    - - A mold is an imprint of the organism that it left behind in the sediment
      - A cast is when the mold gets filled with minerals.

        This law states that the older layers of rock rest on the bottom; as you go up, the layers get younger

        This law states that strata originally form horizontally, so any cracks or bumps happened after it formed.
