This is very appealing to me and feels very intuative. "if it aint broke dont fix it", there is a lot of sense to this to, if something has survived for a long time it stands to reason there may be some virtue to it. However this may quickly devolve into anti-progressivism, for example "we have lasted this long without vaccines, why do we need them now" or "women have never had the right to vote and we have been doing well, why do we need it now". The mentality that just because something has always been done one way, its the correct way to do that something can be very damaging. Yes we cant throw out the baby with the bathwater, but we also cant let the baby drown in the bath.
