her peers being inspired by generally 'cuter' animals; cats, foxes, etc
cliche'd - Very self indulgent and definitely overdone
would improve my ability to draw nature : )

mixed-media look: watercolours or digital art imitating watercolours
bright colours; orange or black cat to make it stand out - depends on character of the cat
front + back cover and a page (maybe two)
would need to look at existing children's books to see how they're written and executed
