- traditionalism ie. the family or some greater good was better than the individual feelings
- marriage, family, cultivating certain values, afterlife, God - all aspects of life that are worked towards ie. positive direction

it fell peacefully because of the Islamic shariah law that allowed for anyone who brought dead land back to life to own that land - this applied to all people and so those that weren't part of the elite (royals) would still be able to own land

- the only thing that is true is that which is measured (contradictory) - explains atheism

- a revolution occurs ex. chinese revolution
- communist party takes power, centralising resources and then disband and live in a utopia
- PROBLEM: they didn't give up power and instead became authoritarian
- they prioritised utopia not individualism so they didn;t mind breaking a few legs ie. killing people
COMMUNISM
- Karl Marx - the idea was to rectify the issue of feudalism in a different way ie. communism
- system where there's no money, religion or government ex. everyone does what they want to do/are passionate about and the products made are shared equally among the people
COLLECTIVST
- it's oka to sacrifice a few individuals for the greater collective
- the west had issues with that
