Effects Of Climate Change
Physical
Sea level rise, which melts ice, makes the water have lower salinity.
The albedo effect causes more sea ice to melt, which raises the sea level
Thermohaline circulation slows because sea levels rise and salinity levels drop around the world, making this slow
Pollution makes greenhouse gases rise at a shocking rate
Surface temperature increases slowly but surely from infrared energy being absorbed and re-emitted by greenhouse gases
Economic
Heat levels rise over the world making differnt areas verry dry and some verry wet
Some areas get flooded from rising sea levels
Areas that are flooded can't grow crops and kill them, meaning they are harder to grow around the world
some areas get really dry due to the heat levels rising and become unsuitable for farming
Fruits and vegetables and other crops start dying and are hard to grow because of the change in climate
plants and vegatables are hard to find because of a lack of farmland making their prices skyrocket effecting the comsumers
Overfishing and ocean pollution cause fish and sea animals to die
Fish die and become harder to find, like how all the fish disappeared from Fogo Island
Fish become more expensive in stores as it's harder to catch them
Fishermen can lose their jobs as fish populations in different areas plummet
Weather becomes less predictable and more extreme
Buildings and roads get damaged from larger storms and hurricanes
Money is lost from rebuilding municipal infrastructure
ecosystem
Effects on the ocean
Waters heat up because of rising Earth temperatures
Fish start to die because water temperatures and salinity change
Reefs start to die, ruining homes, protection, and food for different species
Ecosystems crumble
Effects on land
Tempratures rise due to greenhouse gasses building up in our atmosphere.
Arctic species are left without shelter as ice melts due to rising tempratures on both the ocean and land
Animals and plants die as their habitats and protection are destroyed through the rising of tempratures
ecosystems crumble
Animals overheat from rising temperatures
Ocean levels rise, ruining some shore ecosystems
Plants die from heat, causing an even greater greenhouse gas effect
Animals starve as they run out of food because plants are dying
Human health risk
Rising greenhouse gases cause heat to increase, as well as damage people's lungs to get damaged from too much carbon dioxide in the air.
Rsing tempratures cause heat waves, as seen in england and rest of europe last year
wildfires occour from trees being too dry and fires starting easily
Wildfires cause smoke, as seen in Toronto a few years ago, which is unsafe for your lungs and can cause problems
different bugs head north as climates change, like how ticks can now be found in Canada with lime desies
People get sick as these diseases are not natural or common in these areas
Storms and a lack of food can cause people to get sick easily
Makes people hungry as well, causing people to be more vaunrable to disease
