May 7, 1429, Joan led the French Army into battle. Hard-fought battle for both sides. French finally retreated in despair.
Joan suddenly charged back toward the fort (Orléans), the whole army followed after her and the siege of Orléans was broken. Joan guided the French into the path of victory.
