B. After the incident
- Supervising adult comforted Z and
saw that the tooth was chipped and that
the lip was swollen
- First aid applied to relieve swelling
- So that the supervising adult could
stay with Z, another teacher offered
to make the call to the parents -
shared chipped tooth and advised collection
and agreed that dental advice be sought
C. Reporting and logging
- Call made to parents by the teacher supporting the
supervising adult, saying that she had suffered a chipped tooth. Advised that Z was collected and it was agreed that a medical view be sought.
The teacher tried to reassure the parents regarding the severity of the accident.
- The supervising adult then created a medical tracker
record
