However, while these values and beliefs may be important to young people when growing up, now they have gained more independance in their daily lives and they woud tent to look at their peers, who are at the same stage of life as them, as an important source of influence to navigate life as a young person. For example, young people would not want to look to their family for relationship advice due to the likelihood of them criticising them or refusing to aid them. However, when they ask for advice from their trusted peers, they would understand what they are going through and likely know what to do or at least try to help them without much criticism. Therefore, my stand is that peer influence is the most significant influence.
