Final Course Reflection:
During this course, I have learned about many different tools and resources available to teachers that can enhance student learning—from week one, when we explored the screenshot tool and Prezi, to week five, when we learned about the power of digital storytelling. I enjoyed the classroom discussion boards and seeing what my classmates were working on.
WEEK 1:
-
AUP/BYOD
I did find It hard to locate my school AUP BYOD policies. The one that is on our website is from 2013, and we all know technology has changed a lot since then. After a lot of searching I was able to locate it in the student handbook.
-
WEEK 2
PLC & OER'S
Was interesting to read in this weeks discussion post how other schools did not participate in any PLCs.
Creative Commons License
Before this assignment I had no Idea that teachers were able to become certified for digital citizenship.
-
WEEK 3
Text to Audio
Supports diverse learners by making written information more accessible and engaging by allowing them to hear text read words aloud, which can help them focus and improve comprehension.

WEEK 4

Classroom Website
What a great tool to know and have for future use. My website can be used as a resource for parents and students. Knowing how to create a website is useful as a science teacher because it allows you to share resources, post updates, and provide students with interactive tools that support learning beyond the classroom.

WEEK 6
-
Digital Portfolio
Since creating my website, this was a little bit easier. Just took time to compile and add the reflections.
WEEK 5
-
-
Digital Story
Great tool for me and my students to use in biology. I could use it to create narrated videos, animations, and slideshows to explain concepts like the Cell Cycle or Natural Selection. Students could even create their own digital storybook explain various topics and share it with others.
