      - Urine and blood culture often poitive
      - Important to image kidneys to outrle obstruction / abcess
      - Treatment duration 7-14 days
      - Often takes several days of appropriate abx therapy for fever to settle
      - ABX
        
        Ampicillin and Gent - treating for enterococci and gram neg
        
        3rd generation cephalosporin IV preferable
        
        Quinolone - PO or IV
        Excreted though kidney
        
        Hardware - Consider tx for staph aureus
