    - - 1917 Turnip WInter: The "Turnip Winter" (1916-1917) in Germany, refers to severe food shortages during World War I caused by the British naval blockade and poor harvests, forcing Germans to live primarily on turnips, leading to widespread malnutrition, disease, and death, significantly impacting civilian morale and contributing to Germany's eventual collapse.
      - ToV: 6.6 bln in reparations, loss of the Rhineland, army and navy capcaity were reduced - demilitarisation ( Army 100,000, Air was 10,000)
      - Political - Abdication of the Kaiser leading to the Weimar Republic being formed on 9th November 1918 and the armistice signed by the 'November Criminals' on 11th November 1918. The Treaty of Versailles was labelled a 'Diktat' (Dictated peace) and Article 231 blamed Germany for the war happening (war guilt clause)
