:star: Xerostomia (dry mouth): subjective sensation of oral dryness, usually when flow <50% of normal
Main causes: medications (!!), radiation therapy, dehydration, diabetes mellitus
Clinical consequences: oral health - rampant dental caries, ginigval inflammation, oral candidiasis, halitosis
Functional problems: difficulty swallowing, speech problems, altered taste, difficulty wearing dentures
