TYPES OF DBS CHECKS:
Standard: identifiy convictions, cautions and any reprimands that the police hold on record
Enhanced DBS check: same as the standard byt additional information that the police may have that is relevant to the role they are applying for
Enhanced with barred lists: a list of people not allowed to work with children or vulnerable adults, usually because of a serious crime like abuse or harm
