Haworth, Yorkshire - Rebranding and Reimaging in a rural location using literary associations
Rebranded as "Bronte Country" tuning into its literary associations with the Bronte sisters through reimaging by Bradford Council. This has resulted in investment to promote the village and preserve its history with support from Yorkshire Tourist Board, English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
It is an accessible rural area, 8 miles from Bradford. Visit Bradford website promotes the area inviting visitors to “discover Bronte Country”. Additionally, there are a variety of diversified options to encourage tourists to spend more into the local economy, with activities such as the Pennine Bridleway for mountain biking and horse-riding.
