God not just “with us,” but “in us.

We don’t go to a place to meet God. We carry His presence. His presence in you is not fragile. Not dependent on feelings. Not threatened by storms.

storm hits, our instinct is to grab the first thing that looks like it will save us — a life jacket, a plan, a method… anything that feels like control.
-
maybe you’ve been there. You tried everything. You adjusted everything. You threw things overboard and still the storm didn’t change.

Paul doesn’t know where they’ll land. He doesn’t know when it will end. He doesn’t know how God will rescue them. But he knows who God is.
He wasn’t clinging to a life jacket — he was clinging to God.

What happens in an unsolvable storm in our life? What does it mean to sit in that storm? How is the King among us?
After declaring God’s promise, Paul doesn’t panic.
He doesn’t force a solution.
He doesn’t demand God end the storm now.

conclusion
Because often, the very expectations we place on God are what keep us from sensing Him. Let go of the rigid formulas and expectations you’ve built around your faith, and learn to walk with the real, living God.
You may not know where you will land. You may not know when the storm will end.You may not know how God will deliver you.
