Hughes call to action in this poem and menaing is really try to atriculate for a need to fill the void for art rooted in Black cultures, music, speeches, and othe ideas that really cultiviate and give a sense of agency and means to what the time period really is. This work really highlights just like Hughes other work the need for more Black traction in America, which is significant.

The similar verbage and language give the connotation that evokes the sense of power and those themes that are community, hierarchy and control, because it not only showcases power on a broader glance but within through gender roles, class, and more. **
      - Sense of urgency: The Hughes works that range from Let America to be America Again to the The Weary Blues to The Negro Speaks all seem to convey one meaning, and that really is the basis of showcasing the Black experience. These poems by Hughes really concentrate on the fact that the Black experience is pivotal in America due to the fact of America's status quo during this time: how the U.S. promises certain freedoms but at the end of day does otherwise. The middle-aged man through the vast setting has endless overthinking, from the foggy streets to the drawing rooms, and really focuses on other people's thoughts and judgements. Although the Urban life feels like a fragment, the setting really is analogous to his mind and his thought process.

        - Pound: In a Station of the Metro, Williams, "To Elsie": Both of these are connected in the sense that both of these works focused on shrinking and dissolving the subjects into their environments. For example, one can see that just like Prufrock can't really idenity real connections, Pound and William group subjects into groups, with Pound turning certain commuters into petals and Williams grouping America's poor to mass produced by the industry, showcasing the relevant connections at hand between the works.**
        You can also see that it also is connected to William's "Spring and All" on the forefront of the illness and roads and just the modern speed of the urban city and how it is bustling and packed with action, which is also another point of highlight as a result of this.**

Gabriel's epiphany is seen with that, as the narrative time really slows down and showcases the turning of the interior reflection into the main focalpoint of the story, which is important to realize with James Joyce.

Yeats: Yeats structure and Joyce in terms of structurally showcasing the final realization – with Gabirel's final realization to Yeat's attitude – gives weight to the modern writing as it proves that momentum of time that actually happens, with the inner realization proves the revolution that can happen in one's life. Both works do a great job in having that sense of epiphany and sudden realization of what may happen to them espeically with the characters in their works, which is significant to realize. **

- - - - - Unreadable Individual: The meticulous nitpicking of the man in the crowd seems to be troublesome for the narrator, as he cannot distinctly figure out and depict what the man actually does or what is underlying intentions are. He sees the old man as something he cannot classify, similar to that of a "type". This roadblock that the narrator has gives insight to the lack of psychological interpretation ur narrator has, which is related to the consciousness. Further, we can see that the voyeuristic consciousness is also apparent without our narrator himself. His ventures of looking and following and early versions of interior talk through observation showcases the internal thinking of what he truly resonates with and see through his lenses. Ultimately, Man and the Crowd seems to be a story more of the conflict of quantity, with that of the the crowd and one's self.
        
        Connections – Man of the Crowd to other works
        - Joyces "The Dead": The connection of James Joyces "The Dead" seem to concentrate on the continuous watching others and the stalkerish vibes that both books represent, kind of more not having any actions in themselves but the judgement of others, which is significant to realize as there own conscious is thoughts muddled by other individuals.
        - Eliots Prufrock: The connection to Prufrock wandering the city can be evidently seen by that of the continuous story of the city. Getting lost in the city, going through the city with thoughts racing through your mind. Prufrock and Man of the Crowd really share that aspect of the continuous streamline of thoughts with the continuous route of the vast city at hand.
        - Faulkner – Sound and the Fury: One can see how both of these works are related in the sense of the characters being illegible. The man and Benjy are both the same: they cannot be read, as there is not a sliver of them that is a dead giveaway of what their underlying intentions are at the end of the day. Based off of this notion, one can see how both of the works are interconnected in that regard.**

      - Henry James – The Turn of the Screw
        
        - Unreliable Thinking: This text is extremely structured around the unreliable consciousness that James presents particularly through that of the governess. James focuses on how the ghosts are also a looming feature and can reveal certain indicators such as standing in for the certain sexual knowledge and context as well as anxiety about the children's innocence but also paired with the interior horror. Everything that is happening to her is happening with her in the head, which is important to realize because she is not being sure what is going, hence the messing of the context and one's self in what they truly do believe or do not believe in as a result of all of this combined with the culmination of said nuances.

        - Faulkner – The Sound and the Fury: One can see that this relattes to Faulkner in the sense of the numerous multiple conflicting perspectives as we can see in Sound and the Fury, from the bitterness to the obessiveness, similar to that in Turn of the Screw with conflicting what the true mystery is.
        - Beckett – Waiting for Godot – One can see that Turn of the Screw also relates to the unstable reality of the situation. Such as is seen in Godot's with the continuous of characters not remembering certain things and also what is or what was not real, Turn of the Screw has the similar effect, proving the connections.
        
        Faulkner – The Sound and the Fury
        
        - Composite Extremity: Sound and the Fury really dives into the consciousnesses of many individuals in the story, ranging from Benjy to Qunetin to Jason. One can clearly see here that Sound and the Fury is nothing short here of the mental instability that the human mind takes. This can be seen particularly from that of Jasons bitter monologue and him showcasing racism and misogyny at times to that of Quentin's guiltiness as well as Benjy's so called "pre-linguistic" mind. The chaos is all there in the story which I find to be really interesting as a result of this entirety of and only goes to showcase how the chaos is catalyzed with the working thoughts of the mind seen through literature.
        
        Connections – The Sound and the Fury to other works
        - Woolf – Mrs Dalloway: One can see with Sound and the Fury that it is related to Woolf in the sense of mental instability but salso on the contexxt of time and memory. The mental instability of Septimus can most likely be linked to that of characters like Benjy or Jason for example, who also possess this characteristic, which therefore proves the connection overall.
        - Beckett – Waiting for Godot – One can see how Godot is seen here because it's also on that obession of time, such as with Godot in the novel of waiting for the time that he will arrive is also similiar to that concept of time that is being grappled in Sound and the Fury. Hence, with both characters that both have a caveat to them it proves the connection and link between both of the works. **
        
        Woolf – Mrs Dalloway
        
        – Identity Searching: Arguably what Mrs Dalloways actual story is, one can clearly see that Woolf primarily focuses on in this work the inner mind, partiuclarly with that of figuring out the social role of Clarissa herself but also the certain memories that she has with other individuals, such as with Sally. One can see when you pair the other perspectives of Spetimus ad Peter you get more of the same concept, in the ense that the both have their mind set on somewhere to figure out who they truly are within the stories. Evident of this can be seen with them always daydreaming or their thoughts spiraling into what if conclusions and scenarios, which is important to note.
    - - Ambigious Personality: The main ambiguity is none other than Bartleby himself. From the radical passivity that he radiates, it leaves the narrator playing this sort of chess match with Bartleby, asking himself to realize what his true intentions actually are overall. Based off of this, we can now see that the alienation and work really showcase the uncertainty, similar to that to the works of that mysterious gothic vibe of what some people's intentions really are with each other, as well as paired with his backstory of him now being in Prison it showcases that collapse at the end of the day. Therefore, it also showcases tragedy.
        
        Connections – Bartleby, the Scrivener to other works
        - Beckett - Waiting for Godot - Bartleby thus relates to Godot in the best way possible due to the fact that both characters in both works radiated a sense of passivity and the mindset of "giving up". This mindset of giving up is seen with the perfer not to act and not do more than what is asked of them and stick to one goal and a task at one time, which therefore showcases the connection between the works.
      - Beckett - Waiting for Godot
        
        Longing: The continous longing of wiating for someone who will not show up showcases the consciousness in that of itself. One can see that both the characters of Estraogen and Vladimir try to utilize the time. However, it is important to note throughout this that similar to other works as we can see with the conscious and memory, these works are similar in the sense that therer are memory holes or memory conflicts, and the role of what an identity is constantly seen between the two as they themselves don't know why they are really there other than one goal: waiting for Godot.
