The technological process - Coggle Diagram
The technological process
Technology solves problems
Materials and their properties
determine the features of the
product, example cars and aircraft
Scientific and technologica
Technical drawing
conveys the idea
Information technology
the internet is important for finding information and communicating ideas.
Work techniques
include the use of tools, transformation procedures, and assembly processes.
Economic factors
price of materials, production costs, etc.
Technology is the coordinated apphcation of knowledge and skills, order to find soluuons which satisfy our needs and solve our problems.
Stages in the technological process
The technological process consists of several stages
Brainstorming and making a group decision
'We decide the best solution is to build
Planning
Working plans.
Used to show the obiect and its views
Process sheet
Calculations and quotation
Individual analysis and solution for the problem
Use different sources to look for examples uf similar situations
Construction
Throughout the process, we may have problems that we did not
anticipate We can record these problems on an incident sheet.
Needs
Verification and evaluation
Finally, we must evaluate the impact of our protect on the economy, society and the environment
Evaluate carefully the final result of each protect
Essential tools for technology
Physical tools
We need tools for construction
to measure, to cut, to screw...
important to use all these tools correctly and carefully.
IT tools ( information technology)
Word processors and spreadsheet
Computer graphics programs and tools
Presentation programs
Database program
Organisation and management of the workshop
classroom where we can put technology into practice
Workspace
work on different tasks
The layout of the
workshop and its contents is very important:
Projects
Tools
Materials
Documentation
There is an area of the workshop where we keep different types of documents related to proiects.
Workgroups
Organisation and management of the workshop
That section is about organizing the tech workshop, which they call the workspace.
It needs to be organized well because we do practical tasks there:
Materials: Store them in small storerooms.
Projects: Keep them on shelves, sorted by class and group number.
.
Documentation
Tools: Use color codes and numbered toolboxes
Students work in groups
The company, the market and the environment
We must be critical of advertising so as not to buy unnecessary things.
Industrial technology causes pollution and depletes natural resources.
Companies seek profits.
Analysis of technical objects
Shape Analysis
Draw the object in perspective.
Separate and draw its components (plan, front, and side views).
Identify the external shape (spherical, conical, pyramidal, or prismatic).
Note the dimensions: height, width, and depth.
Technical Analysis
Compare it to similar existing products.
Describe how it is manufactured and how it works.
Function Analysis
Explain its purpose, how to use it, and what need it fulfills.
Safety in the workshop
Safety in the workshop is key
Danger: Tools and machines are dangerous if not used properly.
Instructor: Only do the tasks assigned by the instructor. They supervise risky activities.
Tools: Don't use anything you don't know how to use.
Clothing/Jewelry: Rings, necklaces, or loose clothing are prohibited (they can get caught).
Protection: Always wear appropriate equipment (safety glasses, gloves, etc.!).
Organization: Familiarize yourself with the workshop (exits, fire extinguishers) and respect the four signs (Mandatory, Danger, Help, Prohibited).
Health and safety regulation
Questions: If you have any questions, always ask the instructor.
Clothing: Be careful! Do not wear rings, necklaces, or loose clothing (they can get caught).
Tools: Check that they are in good condition before using them.
Protection: Always use appropriate equipment: goggles, gloves, masks, etc.
Workshop: Know where the exits and fire extinguishers are located.
Signs: Respect the four signs: mandatory, danger, help, and prohibition.
Hygiene:
Keep your hands clean and dry.
Inform the teacher immediately if you hurt yourself.
Keep your desk tidy while you work and clean it when you finish.
Workplace Safety:
Rules prevent accidents and illnesses.
There are safety laws; some are general, and others are specific to the risks of the job (they are not the same for a miner as for an office worker). The company and the worker are obligated to comply with these laws.
