The technological process - Coggle Diagram
The technological process
technology solves problems
Materials and their properties
Scientific and technological knowledge and concepts
Technical drawing, which conveys the idea of an obiect.
Information technology throughout all the design and manulactunng process.
The Internet is also especially important for finding information and communicating ideas
Work techniques include how to use tools, transformation procedures and assembly processes
Economic factors like the pnce of matenals, production costs, supply and demand and the buying puvver of the population
Stages in the technological proces
Brainstorming and making a group decision
Planning
Individual analysis and solution for the problem
Construction
Needs
Verification and evaluation
Essential tools for technology
Physical tools
to nail, to screw
to lorn, to faste
to cut, to saw, to perforate
to measure, to draw, to mark
It is very important to use all these tools correctly and carefully!!
Organisation and management of the workshop
It's the place where students work on different tasks. The layout of the
workshop and its contents is very important:
Materials. We keep them in small storerooms
Projects. We keep them on shelves, organised by class and with a
number for each group
Tools . We can organise and identify them using colour codes, and
we can keep them in numbered toolboxes
worckshop
Documentation
There is an area of the workshop where we keep different types of
documents related to proiects.
books relating to specific topics, for example, engine
specialist magazines
general books, papers and documents
Workgroups
Students work in groups
Each student has a specific role and must assume a responsibility.
The company, the market
and the environment
Advertising and consumption
Companies develop products to meet consumer demand Thev sell
them at a higher pnce than their manufactunng cost to make a profit.
Advertising campaigns for some products can be so aggressive that
consumers often buy products that they don't need, or will pay inflated
prices for them
. impact on the environment
Thausting of natural resources and raw materials
Social inequalities between countries and regions
Pollution: the impact of substances and human activities
Business activities
companies that produce goods, carry out similar procedures to those
we follow m the classroom they develop products, manufacture them and
sell them to the consumer
Safety in the workshop
Hygiene
Safety at work
We must also observe regulauons m order to avoid accidents while we are working, and to prevent illnesses
Health and safety regulations
Ask your teacher, if and when you have any quesuons
Respect the signs. There are four typev obhgation
danger, help and prohibition Here are the most
common ones
Before using a tool, make sure that it's in good
Analysis of technical objects
Analysis of form
Draw the complete obiect in perspective.
What is its extenor shape
What are its extenor dimensions
Separate the object mto its components and draw
each of them m perspective, or from its different
views plan, side elevation and front elevation.
Socioeconomic analysis
Analysis of function
Technical analysis
What matenals do we use to make the object'
How are the components assembledr
How many components does the object have'
