The King and Queen travel to the south coast, and Gulliver and Glumdalclitch go with them.
Glumdalclitch becomes ill, so a young servant takes Gulliver to the beach inside his travelling box.
While the boy is searching for birds’ eggs, Gulliver falls asleep.
Suddenly, Gulliver wakes up as his box is lifted into the sky.

Soon the bird drops the box, and it crashes into the sea.
The box floats, but Gulliver fears he will die alone in the ocean.

After several hours, he hears voices above him.

The sailors think he is crazy because he asks them to lift the giant-sized box with a finger—they do not know it was built for giants.

Gulliver meets the captain, who is kind and surprised by the story.

He finally arrives in Bristol on June 3rd, 1706.
When he returns home, his wife makes him promise never to travel again.

Gulliver has lived in Brobdingnag for two years and misses England and his family. He wants to escape, but no ships ever come near the giant land.
