Former slaves and adopted sons have equal dignity in Muslim society.
Guidance on household and family matters.
Marriage rules should be based on faith and righteousness, not class or lineage.
Unity and Obedience to the Revelation
We are told to follow the divine revelation and not the pressures of disbelievers and hypocrites.
Abolishes pre-islamic traditions.
Tells us that we cannot fully adopt a child, and can only care for them like our children, but not give them the same last name and inheritance.
We are not allowed to divorce wives by saying they are like the mothers.
Emphasizes equality and brotherhood of all Muslims.
The Battle of the Trench and Trials of faith
Recounts the battle of the trench, where the many enemy groups united against Muslims.
The hypocrites were scared and avoided battle, while the true Muslims stood firm and strong.
True Muslims knew this was a test to strengthen their faith.
Hypocrites would try to get worldly gains of the war without even having participated in the war.
The prophet(SAW) as a role model
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is ideal role model in all aspects of life.
We are told to follow his example in trials and everyday life.
Respect and etiquette towards the household of the Prophet (SAW)
Specific manners when interacting with Prophet(SAW) and his wives.
Respect
Modesty
Proper behaviour
His wives are like the mother of the believers, and have certain spiritual and moral responsibilities.
Alertness against hypocrites and slanderers
We are warned about those who
Spread lies
Harm the reputation of women
Mess with the peace of the cmmunity
We are warned to stay cautious against these mischief-makers who will get a severe punishment.
Morals and spiritual qualities of true believers
Praises various qualities like:
Faith
Devotion
All the men and women who show these qualities will be rewarded.
Enforces gender equality and spritual accountability.
Honesty
patience
Humility
Remembering Allah(SWT) and trusting him
Constant dhikr of Allah(SWT) is an essential.
Especially essential during times of hardship, fear, or temptation
