Benign - Benign means a non-cancerous tumour that is confined to one area and does not spread to other parts of the body.
Malignant - Malignant refers to a cancerous tumour that is not contained and can spread to other parts of the body through the bloodstream and lymphatic system.
Tumour - A tumour is an abnormal mass of cells formed by uncontrolled and rapid cell division, known as mitosis. Healthy cells divide only when needed, but a cancerous cell divides uncontrollably, creating a lump of cells. Tumours can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous).
