Emotional needs in children are their needs in feeling supported, safe and also understood. They do need comfort and attention to help boost their confidence, When these things are understood children will be able to manage their feelings a lot better and be able to create better and healthier relationships with others.

Social side in children normally means their interaction with other children and helps them be able to form/build relationships, it helps the child develop skills such as teamwork and empathy which helps result in growth and happiness for them. It's important as it's the way that children communicate with each other.
