Skill classification 8.3
Open and closed skills
Open skills: variable environment, conditions change during game, ex: rain
Closed skills: stable, controlled settings, mostly individual and indoor, ex: swimming pool, 100m sprint
Fine and gross skills
Gross skills: large muscle movements to produce big, powerful actions, usually performed by the arms and legs
Fine skills: precise movements requiring accuracy and technique, they involve small movements with muscles like in the fingers
