staff will do the following:
check if the item is with them
A. If found, student physically collects item from office
B. If not found, log student info (contact info, item description) in the database to communicate with them

A. go to online website and create a post of the lost item for the owner to see
student notified when a match is found
student verifies if the user is the owner
student meets with the owner to pass the item to them
B. Return the item to the lost and found for them to post it instead
staff will check if any student reported the lost item that has been found in the reports section
A. Found a match and notifies the students to collect the item thru website
B. No log for the item yet. staff will wait 3 months for any student reporting for said item. If no report, dispose of the item

go to online website
navigate to the forum section of the website, containing pictures/posts of items returned to lost and found
A. Found a match on the lost item and messages the office in a forum
student verifies that the item they lost is theirs thru photo/description
student visits the
office to collect their item
B. Did not find a match and goes to the report section of the website to file a report
student notified by
the website that their item is found
