Matthew 18:23–35
Disciples who have authority have to show that they are capable of forgiveness. Showing mercy towards others is an important leadership trait.
We cannot remain as we are when we become leaders. We should strive to be better, wiser and authentic.
When we are unforgiving others do not trust us. Being a leader means establishing relationships and trust with those in your community and those with lesser influence.
Moroni 7:44–48
If we lack faith, charity and hope we canot be leaders. A disciple leader should be motivated by love as this is the mark of a true leader.
We should ask ourselves if we our methods reflect Christ's love or are they self motivated. We shoud be honest in our self assessment.

Leaders are ambitious however their ultimate goal is to ensure the success of the organization they work for. Leaders are humble, they are accountable and give credit where credit is due. Leaders are determined and committed to achieving long term goals despite challenges.
Leaders understand that they are there to serve others. When the people in their charge shine so do they.

Leaders should strive to be humble, spread truth, love and serve others. We will be held accountable before the Lord if we abuse our authority.
Use others mistake as an opportunity to teach then not shame them and justify your treatment of them.

They know that the Atonement of the Savior covers all sins and mistakes of each one of us. - Elder Massimo De Feo - I like this quote because it reminds us that we are all imperfect and we make mistakes. We should strive to forgive, if our Savior can forgive all why can't we?
