By 2050 if these trends continue

4800 under 18s have been referred to NHS excess weight clinics since they were set up in 2021
In a study of around 3000 child patients:
24% had autism
23% had a learning disability
30% had liver disease
A significant number had another health condition
Two thirds of countries have either no policy or only one key policy to tackle obesity
Only around 7% of countries have health systems adequately prepared to manage obesity
Most countries are not ready to deal with rising obesity rates
Obesity rates are rising fastest in low and middle income countries
Around 2.3 billion children and adults worldwide currently live with overweight or obesity
