Jesus- Son of Mary and Joseph. Born to the Virgin Mary when the Angel Gabriel was sent by God to put a baby in her womb to be made human as he came down from Heaven. His life, death, and resurrection is the foundation of Christianity. Considered the Messiah and is the main focus point of the New Testament

original sin- The idea that all Christians are born with the inherited ability to sin due to Adam and Eve's disobedience in the Garden of Eden.
Paul of Tarsus- While on his way to arrest Christians in Damascus, he experienced a blinding vision of the resurrected Jesus, which led to his conversion to Christianity from Judaism.
Writings laid the groundwork for the Trinity by presenting the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as distinct but divine
Council of Nicaea- Main purpose was the create the Nicene Creed, which affirmed that Jesus is of the "same substance" as God. It clearly defined Jesus Christ as fully divine and co-equal with God the Father

Reflection: The most important thing I learned about Christianity while making the Mind Map was that there are three ways of viewing Jesus. I never realized Gnostic Christianity was a way of practicing Christianity and I find it to be very contradictory to basic Christian views. I find it interesting how they can say that Jesus was not of the flesh, but at the same time they had to liberate Jesus of his flesh for his spirit.
