Magical realism
Seen very obviously in LWFC (e.g. food causing physical reactions; tears in wedding cake making everyone throw up), and I think this applies to Macbeth as well, considering its supernatural occurrences regarding the Witches and prophecies, and hallucinations/apparitions (Banquo’s ghost, floating knife)
Characters
Tom and Tita
Both staying at home and helping their families out of obligation. They feel trapped and guilt tripped by a domineering and overbearing mother
-
Tita, Lila, Oodgeroo, Claire
Were rebellious women in the sense that they resisted oppression, rejecting feminine passiveness (not sure abt the word to use there) and instead seizing power wherever they can get it (Lila through education, Oodgeroo through writing)
