Music Summative Criteria B MYP5
RHYTHMS I WILL USE
Fast and Energetic Rhythms
Driving Beat
I will use a fast rhythm to make my performance feel exciting and powerful.
Even though I’m playing fast, I’ll keep a clear main beat underneath. This steady pulse will help the other players or dancers (if any) know where the rhythm is going.
Steady Pulse or Groove
Repeating Pattern
I’ll start with a repeating rhythm that keeps going through the whole piece. This pattern will hold the performance together while I improvise on top.
Adding Layers Over Time
As the performance goes on, I’ll slowly add more drum parts or rhythms to make the sound bigger. This will make my performance sound more alive and interesting.

Small Solos

Dynamic Change
I’ll make the music more expressive by playing louder when the energy builds up and softer when I want to change sections
