Linear electron flow; involves both photosystems, ATP and NADPH using light energy
Cyclic Electron flow: in CEL, photoexcitied electrons cycle back from fd to the cytochrome complex instead of being transferred to NADP+ (ONLY USES PS I)
Electrons are passed to a P700 chlorophyll in the PS I reaction center via the plasticyanin molecule (pc)
Photorespiration: rubisco binds w/ O2 instead of CO2, producing a two carbon compound.
2) Calvin Cycle- DOES NOT REQUIRE LIGHT, still can do it either way (occurs in the stroma)
CARBON FIXATION- start w/ 3 molecules of CO2- an enzyme Rubisco attaches CO2 to RuBp--> 6-3 PGA; reaction is catalyzed by the enzyme Rubisco
Reduction- ATP and NADPH are used to convert 6 molecules 3-PGA into 6- G3P (1 is left to for glucose)

3 turns- 1 G3P, 3 G3P= 1 Glucose
2 turns in calvin cycle- breaks down 1 glucose
