In Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, anemia remains highly prevalent among women and adolescents due to poor nutrition, limited healthcare access, and culturally shaped health behaviors. Existing KAP measurement tools fail to capture these local realities, resulting in ineffective interventions. There is therefore a pressing need to develop a culturally adapted and context-specific instrument to accurately assess anemia awareness and practices in this region.
