This ACM Moral Imperative supports my decision on reporting on the company who uses discriminatory requirements for their applicants because the values of EQUALITY, tolerance, respect for others, and the principles of equal justice govern this imperative. Knowing that the company uses discrimatory requirements for it's applicants is a violation in itself because you cannot be discriminatory towards any person when trying to hire people. This would be a violation of the value equality, not everyone is given a chance, in this scenario, case 5, some people of a certain color is being favored and put on top. While others on not being looked at due to their race. This is not equality. It is a violation because 1.4 says that any discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion, age, disability, national origin or other such factors is a violation of ACM policy. I can report the company to let others know that this company is not being fair and they are directly violating ACM policy with their system that they created.
